I just finished Clube & Napier's the Cosmic Winter and boy was that an eye-opener. Highly reccomended reading, even if you have to get it inter-library loan (I did). There's also a sidebar on sott.net where cosmic debris and potential impacts is discussed alot, so I hope you get an opportunity to check it out. Thanks for posting this topic. Maybe it;s not what you want , but before 2000 this was little or no funding pointed towards an alternative power supply. They are thinking about it better late then never. Have you heard about APS experiments with algae? It's a very interesting way to create power.
